CADopener's Chief Executive Officer is Ben Edwards, CEO of the Job
Shop Companies in Connecticut. Over the past 28 years he has developed
four synergistic marketing companies that help contract manufacturers
locate, close and retain quality new customers. Those divisions
include Job Shop Shows, Job Shop Technology Magazine, the
Job Shop Network and RepPlace. CADopener's Operations Officer is
Jerry Schmidt, President of Job Shop Shows, the pre-eminent Job
Shop trade show in the country. Under Jerry's direction, Job Shop
Shows brings over 2000 job shops face-to-face with tens of
thousands of engineers and buyers from the country's most progressive
OEMs. Jerry and Ben bring to CADopener a keen understanding
of the challenges faced by engineers, buyers and vendors alike, especially
during the early design stages on products that have immediate
deadlines and short product lifecycles.
The team's Marketing Supervisor is Rob Edwards, President of the Job
Shop Network in Connecticut, an on-line technical resource and search
tool to help engineers and buyers locate quality vendors. CADopener's
Technology Director is Tom Peterson, Founder of Web-worx in
Connecticut, a global Internet and media company. Rob and Tom
have succeeded in bringing the power of the Internet into the dark
recesses of the contract manufacturer and elevating their skills into
21st century power. Tom's team of web experts began honing their
skills during the early days of the Internet. They began to invent
sophisticated ways of communicating huge amounts of important data
in a secure way through the newly emerging infrastructure. Their web
developers were some of the first to send large files through secure
net channels. Web-worx built some of these exchanges for large
manufacturing companies. Back then, you needed a big pipe to
download some of these files because of their sheer size. Now, with
the advent and increased usage of truly sophisticated 2D and 3D
CAD systems, the bar is raised yet again. Interactive CAD data
is on its way to replacing printed drawings, but Rob and Tom saw that these
files needed to be slimmed down if "slowly connected users" were to
share in the wealth of the Net. And, still, these files had to be kept
secure at the same time.
CADopener's Information Officer is Jack Wallack, President of C2C
Technologies in New Jersey. With the assistance of Director
of Development, Ray Bradford, Co-Founder of Solid Concepts Inc.
in California, Jack was the first to see the technology gap between
product designers with CAD and their collaborators without CAD.
And it appeared that this gap would only increase over time. Ray had
approached the slimming-down problem in a brilliant way for his own
rapid prototyping company and had produced a great desktop tool. Jack's
expertise led him on a constant search of a way to deliver this tool most
efficiently to those that needed it; "Get data into the hands of those that need
it and let them communicate." Jack spearheaded the partnerships that
would become CADopener.com.
CADopener's Chief Financial Officer is John Salvatore, President of JPS
Financials in Connecticut. John has over 32 years of financial expertise to lend
to CADopener.
Corporate Legal Counsel is Mark Laifer, Partner of Friedland,
Laifer and Robbins in New York.
CADopener's Patent Attorney is Jim Reed of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius in
Washington, DC. CADopener.com is Patent Pending in the U.S. and Canada.
CADopener.com is really just a group of problem solvers who were
able to see the CAD communication problem and realize that a
combined effort of multiple disciplines could come together in a
unique way to find a solution. Others have called our
CADopener.com solution the "holy grail" of the CAD software field.
It's really just another example of looking outside the CPU box for a
solution who's time has come.
